Honeysuckle Walks
a literature & philosophy blog
About
Hi there, I’m Lexi. I enjoy reading, writing, and thinking about the nature of life and reality. In this blog, I use philosophy and literature as vessels for uncovering beauty and meaning in the world.
You may be wondering what honeysuckle walks are. Honeysuckle walks are happiness, nostalgia, and a general feeling of lightness.
When I was in elementary school, each morning I walked to the bus stop at the top of my hill with my twin brother. During late Spring, we’d stop at a large honeysuckle bush on our way, pluck off a flower or two, and try to suck out the nectar. Usually the honeysuckles didn’t taste like much, but they left fond memories.
I like to think this blog is a kind of honeysuckle walk. If you choose to embark on one, you can glean a bit of nectar here and there and leave with the remnant of a sweet morsel.
